Kyoto Retreat 2026

A fully-funded four-week retreat in Kyoto, Japan, conceived as a time for rest, research and reflection rather than production. Open to visual artists, curators and writers aged 21+ at all career stages and working in any discipline, including photography, moving image and the written word. Selected participants receive round-trip airfare to Kansai/Osaka, private accommodation in a shared house for the duration, and an $800 USD stipend for meals and local transportation. The 2026 retreat runs November 1–30, 2026.
