FLORA — Shutter Hub Editions Publication

FLORA is the next volume in Shutter Hub Editions' photobook series — published by Shutter Hub, the UK photography organization whose books are held in collections including the British Library, V&A, and Portuguese Center of Photography. The brief is plant life: vegetation from mosses and ferns through forests, blossoms, vines, and roots, with the call inviting work that captures the diversity, resilience, subtleties, and poetry of growing things.

The published book is portrait-oriented A5 (148×210mm). Selected photographers receive credit on a dedicated promotional page on the Shutter Hub site with a link to their portfolio or social media; the book itself is sold through Shutter Hub's shop and stockists. Photographers retain copyright. The publication does not pay royalties or send complimentary copies; it does forward commission inquiries directly to the photographer.

Submissions are pay-what-you-can with a £15 minimum donation; free submissions are available on request for photographers with limited income. Each photographer can submit up to 10 images as JPEGs (300dpi, CMYK, max 5MB), with filenames structured as lastname_firstname_imagetitle.jpg. Diptychs and triptychs are submitted as separate images.

AI use must be disclosed in the submission. Family-appropriate work only. The deadline is 5pm UK time on June 11, 2026; results are announced September 2026.
