2026 Lucie Photo Book Prize
The Lucie Photo Book Prize is one of the programs of the Lucie Foundation, the non-profit behind the Lucie Awards. It recognizes the photobook as a form, awarding cash prizes to both photographers and publishers for books created anywhere in the world within a roughly two-year window — September 2024 through September 2026 for the 2026 cycle.
Three awards are given: Book of the Year ($3,000, presented to the publisher), the First Book Prize ($2,000, for a photographer's first iteration of work in book form), and the Self-Published Prize ($2,000, solely for self-published and handmade books). A single book may be entered in more than one eligible category.
Eligible books span exhibition catalogues, self-published, limited edition, multi-artist, single-author, zine and reissue titles. Photographers, editors, curators and publishers may all submit. Entry requires a completed form and a cover-to-cover PDF of the book.
Entry fees are $50 for a photographer's first submission and $75 for a publisher's, with a 20% discount for each additional category of the same book. The deadline is September 15, 2026 at midnight ET.
