The Colour Library: Yellow — Shutter Hub Editions Publication

The Colour Library is a series from Shutter Hub Editions, each volume a visual exploration of one colour — its presence, symbolism, and emotional range across different photographic styles. Following earlier volumes, this edition turns to yellow.

The editors are looking for photographs in which yellow is present, dominant, or symbolically charged. One hundred images are selected for a perfect-bound, portrait-format printed book produced by Shutter Hub Editions and held in national archives worldwide, including the British Library and the V&A.

Submission terms are accessible: pay-what-you-can entry with a £15 minimum, and free submissions available on request for photographers with limited income. The call is open worldwide, with up to 10 images per submission. Selected photographers receive a publication credit and a dedicated promotion page linking to their portfolio; Shutter Hub does not pay royalties or supply free copies.

Submission is through the Shutter Hub website. The deadline is 16 July 2026 at 5pm UK time; entrants are notified within 12 weeks.
