Delfina Foundation — Central & West Africa Curators Residency 2027
Six- or twelve-week residency in London during Delfina Foundation's winter 2027 'open' season (5 January – 28 March 2027), for curators based in Central and West Africa, supported by Delfina's Network of Patrons for Africa. Support covers a return economy flight, UK airport transfers, reimbursement of visa fees, a £40 per day living allowance, a £70 per week materials and research allowance, a London travel pass, and a single bedroom with desk in Delfina's house, which hosts up to eight residents around a shared kitchen, library and dining room. The programme includes guided visits to museums, galleries, non-profits and artist-run spaces, trips to institutions outside London, organised presentations and studio visits, portfolio reviews and mentoring. Applicants must hold nationality of and be based in one of 26 listed countries, have at least five years of professional curatorial practice — independent, institutional or academic — and be proficient in English, as the interview is conducted in English. Curators with an artistic background are welcome, but the residency is not open to applicants whose primary practice is as an artist.
