Dek Unu Magazine — Tuŝis: Altered States (Annual Contest 2026)

Dek Unu Magazine is a small not-for-profit fine-art photography journal that runs monthly single-artist issues and one annual juried contest. Tuŝis: Altered States is the 2026 annual contest, themed around adventurous, manipulated, and hand-made photography.

The brief embraces photo-montage, alternative processes, hybrids, and experimental departures that show the diversity and power of light-and-lens-based fine art photography. Photo-hybrids that combine digital painting, original photography, and AI components are eligible as long as the work remains light-and-lens based; exclusively algorithmic or machine-made images are not accepted.

The jurors' top selection receives a $250 cash award, and all other winners have their entry fees refunded. Winners are published in the August 2026 paperback and e-reader edition of Dek Unu Magazine, showcased online for 31 days with three promotional posts to the magazine's network, and given a permanent permalinked catalog page useful for résumés and grant applications.

Entry fee is $35 for a submission of 5 images (300ppi, 20cm on the longer side). Submissions are made by email to dekunuarts@gmail.com with a short bio, project notes, and payment details. Open worldwide; the 2026 deadline is July 15.
