Preus Museum Open Call 2026 — Passion

Preus Museum is the National Museum of Photography in Norway, based in Horten. Its annual open call is run in partnership with the Oslo Negativ photo festival, and each edition is built around a single theme — "Passion" for 2026.

The call is open to everyone: all genders, ages, and nationalities, amateur or professional, applying individually or as a collective. Entrants submit a single image or a series of up to 15 photographs that respond to the theme, accompanied by a project description explaining the connection.

One winner is selected for an exhibition at Oslo Negativ 2026, receives a cash prize of NOK 20,000, and has the work acquired into the Preus Museum collection; production and travel costs for the exhibition are covered by the museum. The entry fee is €10, waived for students and Norwegian photographers who request a voucher code at opencall@preusmuseum.no. Submission is handled through Picter, with a deadline of August 15, 2026.
