Analog Sparks — International Film Photography Awards 2026
Analog Sparks is an international competition specifically for film and analog photography, founded by Hossein Farmani (founder of the Lucie Foundation and IPA) and Reka Koti. Submissions are accepted in eight categories: Architecture, Fine Art, Human, Lifestyle, Nature, Photojournalism, Technique, and Zines & Photo Books.
The competition accepts color and black-and-white film, instant film, collodion, alternative techniques, and hybrid analog-digital workflows where the original capture was on film. Purely digital work is not accepted. The main prize is €1,000, and category winners are exhibited at House of Lucie galleries in Athens and Ostuni.
The 2026 jury comprises Barna Erdesz (art director and gallerist), Danial Shah (documentary photographer), Eva Szombat (visual artist), Hossein Farmani (founder), Ibrahim Mursal (visual artist and writer), Kenro Izu (photographer), Kira Krasz (visual artist), Mikkel Horlyck (photojournalist), Mo Laudi (curator), and Wanda Martin (Canon Ambassador).
Entry fees follow a tiered deadline structure with progressively lower discounts: 10% off through January 23, 5% off through March 15, then standard rates through May 15, June 19 (extended), and the final deadline July 31. Eligibility is open to photographers 18 and over worldwide, including students and emerging artists.
