Tokyo International Foto Award 2026

Tokyo International Foto Awards (TIFA) is an annual photography competition that culminates in a winners' exhibition in Tokyo. The 2026 cycle is open to photographers aged 18 and over worldwide, with seven submission categories: Advertising, Architecture, Editorial, Fine Art, Nature, People, and Portfolio. The Portfolio category accepts series of 1 to 9 images.

Submissions are reviewed by a six-member jury that includes Hideko Kataoka (photo editor and curator), Mariama Attah (curator), Kenro Izu (photographer), Susan Baraz (Lucie Foundation Co-Chair), Professor William Snyder (Rochester Institute of Technology), and Alfie Goodrich (Japanorama).

Entry fees are tiered between €15 and €50 depending on category and submission type. AI-generated work is accepted, with no separate AI category. The 2026 deadline is August 1, with results announced in September.
