III Artist Fund Grant 2026
Artist-run fund set up by Jamie Zimchek and Shannon Cleere, who met in graduate school and created the grant to support artists navigating a post-graduate practice at a moment when work that challenges dominant narratives faces scrutiny, funding difficulties, and censorship. A $1,000 unrestricted grant goes to one artist who holds an MFA in Visual Art awarded May 2025 or later and can demonstrate a strong research-based practice responding to contemporary contexts. Multidisciplinary and conceptual artists working in photography, drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, textile, installation, performance, sound, video and new media are all encouraged to apply. The recipient is asked only to give a short artist talk within six months, recorded and posted to the fund's website.
