19th Fòrum Fotogràfic Can Basté

The 19th edition of the Fòrum Fotogràfic Can Basté (FFCB), a Barcelona photography forum run since 1996 by the Can Basté civic centre in the Nou Barris district. Held November 24–28, 2026 under the theme 'Retornar a les utopies' (Return to Utopias), the forum awards two kinds of free-to-enter, open-theme production grants. Three exhibition production grants of €2,000 each fund new photographic projects, with the winning works shown individually at the Sala Cava for at least 45 days between 2027 and 2028. A separate €3,000 photographic publication grant funds a photobook, edited and distributed by Ediciones Posibles. Finalists present their projects before a professional jury during the festival. Open to emerging photographic artists and collectives resident in Spain; any format or photographic technique is welcome, provided the project has not been previously exhibited or published in full.
