Betty Bowen Award 2026

49th annual Betty Bowen Award from the Seattle Art Museum for visual artists living and working in Washington, Oregon, or Idaho. The winner receives a $20,000 unrestricted cash prize and a solo exhibition at SAM; up to two Special Recognition Awards of $4,000 and three Special Commendation Awards of $2,500 are also given, and all finalists receive a $500 honorarium. First-round review by the Betty Bowen Committee is anonymous. All media accepted, including photography.
