Atlas of Ruins Vol.3 — Call for Photos
Atlas of Ruins is a recurring photo book series published by Reuse Italy, a cultural benefit corporation focused on reusing historical heritage through partnerships with architects, institutions, and national organizations. Vol.3 follows two earlier volumes (Vol.1 and Vol.2), both available for purchase on the Reuse Italy site.
The theme is architectural ruins from any historical period and any location worldwide — the open geographical and historical scope means submissions span everything from Roman antiquity through twentieth-century industrial decay. Entries can come from photographers, amateurs, students, architects, or designers, and individuals or collectives may participate.
Cash prizes: 1st place €1,200, 2nd €500, 3rd €300. Country mentions go to the best photo from each represented nation, and all participants receive an ebook copy of the published volume regardless of selection. Selected work appears in the printed Atlas of Ruins — Vol.3 with critical texts from international scholars.
Entry fees follow a tiered structure: early registration (until July 9, 2026) costs €13 for one photo or €25 for 2–10; regular registration (until October 1, 2026) costs €16 for one or €30 for 2–10. VAT is added separately. Submissions are JPEG, minimum 1200 pixels on the longest side, under 5MB, with no logos or watermarks. Higher-resolution files and location data are requested after selection.
