Ucross Native American Fellowships — Spring 2027

Four-week fellowship residency at the Ucross Foundation's 20,000-acre ranch in northeastern Wyoming for contemporary Native American visual artists and writers, during the spring 2027 session (January through early June). Fellows receive a $2,000 award plus stipend, private studio, living accommodations, chef-prepared meals and uninterrupted work time, along with a public presentation of their work — a featured exhibition in the Ucross Art Gallery for visual artists, a reading or talk for writers. Launched in 2018 with Andy Warhol Foundation support and expanded with NEA funding; typically two fellows per discipline, and all applicants are also considered for standard Ucross residencies. No application fee.
