The Shadow Aspect

Open-theme exhibition at Praxis Gallery in Minneapolis examining shadow as pure visual form and as psychological and cultural symbol — from formal studies of cast light to conceptual and metaphoric readings of the shadow self. All genres and processes welcome, traditional and non-traditional, analog and digital. Juried by Ann Jastrab, Executive Director of the Center for Photographic Art. Awards include Juror's Choice (free entry into three future calls), Directors' Choice, and eight honorable mentions shown in the exhibition and online gallery. Images exhibited at Praxis within the past year are ineligible. Exhibition August 22 – September 12, 2026; Praxis members get 10 images for the price of 5.
