(S)Light of Hand 2026

The Photographer's Eye Collective's annual juried celebration of alternative, historical, and experimental photographic processes, staged at its nonprofit gallery on Grand Avenue in Escondido, California. Handmade, photo-based work is welcome — from albumen and cyanotype to ziatype, plus hand-worked digital or silver prints incorporating collage, stitching, or three-dimensional elements. The 2026 edition is juried by Ann M. Jastrab, Executive Director of the Center for Photographic Art in Carmel, with Juror's Choice and Director's Choice honors receiving an online exhibition and a printed catalog in 2027. Selected works are shown in the gallery 12 September – 31 October 2026, opening with a reception on 12 September. Open to photographers 18 and older; up to ten images per artist.
