Frames Within Frames

Juried exhibition at Praxis Gallery in Minneapolis on the frame within the frame — doorways, windows, mirrors, picture frames and architectural elements as the conceptual foundation of the image, creating layers of meaning, reflection, boundary and isolation. All genres and interpretations welcome. Up to 74 photographs are selected for the physical gallery show (September 19 – October 10, 2026). Awards include Juror's Choice (free entry into three future calls), Directors' Choice (two future calls) and eight honorable mentions featured in the exhibition, printed catalog and online gallery. Images shown at Praxis within the past year are ineligible; Praxis members get 10 images for the price of 5.
