Residency Program 2026
Aurora PhotoCenter is an Indianapolis photography organization that runs an annual residency in collaboration with Herron School of Art + Design. The 2026 program selects one artist working in photography or photo-based media for a two-week intensive residency.
The residency dates are fixed: August 10–21, 2026. The resident receives a $1,000 stipend plus up to $500 travel reimbursement, and access to darkroom facility, studios, and basic chemistry. Housing is provided on the CAMi campus for out-of-town residents.
There's a public component: the resident must give a talk during or after the residency.
Eligibility is open, with one exclusion: previous Aurora exhibitors (2025–2026) are not eligible. Submission is through Slideroom with a portfolio and application. Fee is $10. The 2026 deadline was March 31; results announced May 1, 2026.
