Prix de Photographie Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière 2026

The Prix de Photographie Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière – Académie des beaux-arts was created in 2007 and has been awarded every two years since 2018. Conceived as a project bursary rather than a prize for completed work, it gives a photographer the means to realise an ambitious body of work with complete freedom of theme and photographic language.

The 16th edition is open from March 25 to June 15, 2026. It is open to confirmed photographers with no age or nationality restriction, who submit an original photographic project. The grant is endowed with €30,000.

Applications are submitted online through the Académie's dedicated platform. The laureate and finalists are announced at the end of September 2026, the award is presented under the Coupole of the Institut de France on November 18, 2026, and the completed project is exhibited at the Pavillon Comtesse de Caen in 2028.
