PETARD Magazine Issue #2 — Authentic

PETARD is an indie print magazine. Issue #2 is themed Authentic — the brief explores the tension between truth and performance, reality and replica. The framing positions authenticity as a contested concept rather than an assumed value.

The magazine accepts a wide range of submission types: editorials, photo essays, performances, and visual projects. Photography sits alongside performance documentation and conceptual work rather than as the dominant medium.

Selection priority is given to women-led teams and unpublished work — both stated as criteria, not just preferences.

Selection results in inclusion in the printed magazine plus a pop-up exhibition and print launch event in June 2026.

Submission is by email — applicants send a download link plus a PDF dossier. Application is free. The 2026 deadline was April 16; results announced April 18, 2026.
