Analog Forever Magazine — Calls for Entry
Analog Forever runs roughly four cycles per year, each with a different theme and guest curator. Recent themes include "Remnants" (loss and what remains after absence), "Nonconformity," "Regional Resonance," "Harmony," and "Wild." Themes are loosely interpreted; submissions stay limited to film and analog processes — digital work is not accepted.
Selected work appears in online themed exhibitions and, periodically, in print editions. Edition 11 is described as the magazine's First Annual Journal — a 150-page softcover printed at 8×10 inches. Submissions are free, with one image per applicant per call. AI-generated work falls outside the magazine's editorial scope.
The magazine is run by Michael Behlen as founder and primary curator, with rotating guest curators drawn from photography institutions. Submissions are made via JotForm. Selected work is featured in the online exhibition for several months before the next cycle takes over, and standout images move into the printed edition.
