MonoVisions Black & White Photography Awards 2027
The 2027 cycle of MonoVisions Magazine's international monochrome competition is open. Work is entered either as a single photograph or as a series of up to eight images sharing one idea, across twelve categories: Abstract, Architecture, Conceptual, Fine Art, Landscapes, Nature and Wildlife, Nude, People, Photojournalism, Portrait, Street Photography and Travel. Both traditional and digital black-and-white photography are accepted, and the competition is open to professionals and amateurs alike. The prize fund is $5,000, split between Black and White Series of the Year ($3,000) and Black and White Photo of the Year ($2,000); category winners and honourable mentions receive badges and certificates rather than additional cash. Fees are tiered by deadline — $20 for a single photo and $25 for a series until the early deadline of 17 January 2027, then $25 and $30 until the final deadline of 16 May 2027. Winners are announced on 25 July 2027 and judged by a panel of thirteen international photographers and artists.
