For the Love of Art 2026

Juried exhibition at the ArtCentre of Plano, housed in the historic Saigling House in Haggard Park — a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark on the National Register of Historic Places. Photography is named outright in the eligible-media list alongside painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, fiber, ceramics, glass and sculpture; video, performance, sound-based work, murals and site-specific installations are not eligible. Open to artists aged 18 and over who keep a primary residence in Texas, at all career stages. Up to three works may be entered and each is juried independently; 2D work is capped at 36 inches on the longest side including the frame, and all work must have been completed within the last five years. Work generated primarily through generative artificial intelligence is not eligible, and any use of generative AI in the process must be disclosed. The juror is Deborah Hartigan, a Dallas-based abstract expressionist, sculptor, gallerist and art advisor with more than forty years in practice, who founded DHV Artworks in 2016 and opened its 5,000 square foot Dallas Design District gallery in 2021; her clients include American Airlines, which commissioned her to curate its DFW Flagship Lounge. The exhibition is the centrepiece of the ArtCentre's month-long season-opening celebration and runs 24 October to 21 November 2026, with a VIP preview on 24 October and a ticketed gala on 30 October. Selected work appears in the exhibition, an online gallery and a printed catalogue. All work must be for sale, with a 50/50 split between artist and ArtCentre; artist cheques are issued 4 December 2026. Hand-delivered work is due 19 October, shipped work between 12 and 19 October.
