Art Edu 2026

A juried exhibition at Art Center Waco celebrating art educators as practising artists — the work they make beyond the classroom, which so often feeds back into how they teach. Active and retired art educators living in McLennan, Bell, Falls, Coryell, Limestone, Hill and Bosque Counties in central Texas may submit up to three original works made in the last five years. All 2D and 3D media are eligible, photography included; reproductions of original works such as giclée prints are not, though photographic prints are. Work can be up to 72 inches in any direction and wall pieces up to 60 pounds, and artworks previously exhibited at ACW are not eligible. The show hangs in the Beard Gallery from 29 October to 19 December 2026. Entry is $25 and the centre takes 30% commission, with proceeds supporting its exhibitions, education programmes and community work.
