CCAN 2026 — 10th Annual National Juried Art Competition

Tenth edition of the Center for Contemporary Arts' national juried competition in downtown Abilene, Texas. Over $7,000 is awarded annually across 11 media categories — including a dedicated 2D Photography (Film & Digital) category, each with a $500 first prize — plus a $750 juror's award and a $1,000 best of show. Juror Carlyn Ray is a Dallas-based glass artist known for large-scale installations. Open to artists 18 and over; work must be original, made within the last three years, and the image submitted must be the piece delivered. Wall-mounted 2D work is capped at 48 inches framed on its longest dimension, wall-mounted 3D at 36 by 36 inches and freestanding 3D at 36 inches in any dimension, with a 50 lb weight limit. No video or mural work. Entry is $35 for one image and $20 for each additional, limit three. Notifications 1 September; exhibition runs 10 October – 21 November 2026, with the opening reception and awards on 10 October.
