EDITION 502 — Open Call for Photo Edition

EDITION 502 is an independent photo-edition publisher producing small-format 6×9 cm photo editions — sets of 12 small printed photographs. The format is intentionally diminutive, between a series of postcards and a small portfolio. The platform's open call selects new editions to publish.

EDITION 502 covers all design, production, and distribution costs. The author receives a percentage of sales rather than an upfront fee — production-share rather than acquisition.

Selection is concept-driven. The platform looks for authors with a clear visual language and comprehensible concept, regardless of education or professional background. The brief is open to photographers without formal photography training.

Each submission includes 12 photographs with serial character, a cover sheet, and a text of up to 2,400 characters. Submission is by email. Application is free. The 2026 deadline was April 30.
