BLACK & WHITE

Praxis Photo Arts Center is a Minneapolis nonprofit gallery and educational center for fine art photography. BLACK & WHITE is the gallery's recurring international juried exhibition focused on monochrome photography as a deliberate creative choice — not as a default or technical limitation.

Up to 74 images are selected for the physical exhibition at Praxis Gallery, running June 20 – July 11, 2026. Awards are entry-credit-based rather than cash: Juror's Choice receives free entry to three future Praxis calls; Directors' Choice receives free entry to two; plus eight honorable mentions.

The 2026 juror is Sandrine Hermand-Grisel — fine art photographer, printmaker, and founder of All About Photo, the international photography platform.

Eligibility is open internationally to photographers 18+. Submission is through Smarter Entry with 1–10 images. The fee is $35 for 5 images; Praxis members receive 10 images for the price of 5. Free submissions are available for artists experiencing financial hardship.

The 2026 deadline was May 3; results announced May 14, 2026.
