2026 Great Northern Art Explosion

Annual juried art competition at AuSable Artisan Village, a nonprofit arts center in Grayling, Michigan, with $8,000 in awards — $2,500 grand prize, $1,000 second, and $500 third in both juror and People's Choice categories. Open to artists 18+ with original work completed in the last two years and not previously shown at the Explosion; media include photography, oils, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, ceramics, wood, metal, jewelry, sculpture, and fabric. One entry of 1–3 images per artist. Exhibition August 21 – September 6, 2026, with the awards ceremony on closing day.
