The Shape of a Moment

Exposure Photo Gallery is a photography gallery operating across two continents — its primary venue at Urquiza 739 in Río Tercero, Córdoba, Argentina, with a secondary venue in Buena Park, California (Exposure Los Angeles). "The Shape of a Moment" is the gallery's open call exploring photography's capacity to capture instants that reveal something essential through light, emotion, and time.

The Gold Award winner receives $500 cash and a solo exhibition at the Argentina gallery. Silver and Bronze awards recognize artistic quality without cash; ten Honorable Mentions appear as printed works in the physical exhibition; further selections are shown digitally. Special recognitions are reserved for photographers based in Córdoba Province. All recognized artists receive digital diplomas, and selected works are reproduced in an official exhibition book (print-on-demand).

The 2026 cycle is juried by Gary Hershorn, a 29-year Reuters editor and Getty Images contributor who has covered 17 Olympic Games and is the author of New York Celestial.

Entry fees are tiered by image count: $5 for 1 photo, $10 for 3, $15 for 6, $20 for 12. Unlimited submissions are permitted per applicant. AI-edited work is accepted; fully AI-generated work is not. Submissions are JPEG, max 2,000 pixels on the longest side. The 2026 deadline is June 30 at 11:59 PM PST; results announced August 3.
