The Human Portrait

Photo Artfolio is an online photography platform that runs themed juried calls. The Human Portrait is the platform's portrait-themed cycle — open to portraiture in all its forms: documentary, fine art, street, conceptual, experimental, self-portraiture.

The brief looks for portraits that convey presence, emotion, tension, or quiet recognition. AI-generated imagery is not accepted.

Cash prizing: $500 (first), $350 (second), $150 (third). Selected work is shown in a global online exhibit.

Eligibility is open globally. Submission is through the platform's website with up to 20 images. The fee is $20 for the first image, $5 each additional. The 2026 deadline was March 25; results announced April 15, 2026.
