Tasweer 2026 Project Award

Tasweer is Qatar's photography festival, organized by Qatar Museums. The Project Award is its annual long-form grant — designed to support the initiation, development, or completion of a substantial photographic project rather than to recognize finished work.

Each awardee receives 30,000 QAR (approximately $8,200), plus exhibition opportunities at Tasweer Photo Festival Qatar and inclusion in the festival's public and digital programming.

Eligibility is restricted by region: open to photographers aged 18+ currently residing in the Western Asia and North Africa (WANA) region. The eligible countries are Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Turkey, UAE, and Yemen.

Applicants may apply simultaneously to the Tasweer Single Image Award — the two tracks are not mutually exclusive.

Submission is through Qatar Museums' application portal — one PDF file containing 20 images with titles and captions. Application is free. The 2026 deadline was May 1.
