Solstice Magazine Issue 72 — Editorial Submissions

Solstice Magazine is a London-based independently-run fashion and beauty publication that publishes both digital and print editorials. Issue 72 publishes June 21, 2026.

Submission requirements are unusually specific. Fashion editorials must include at least 5 different outfit changes; beauty editorials at least 5 different hair/makeup looks. Each outfit or look must be represented by at least 3 finished, retouched photographs. All work must be high-resolution (minimum 3,000 pixels on the shortest side, 300 DPI), unpublished, exclusive to Solstice, and written in English.

The fee structure is unusual and worth understanding before submitting. Standard submissions are free, but Solstice imposes penalty fees: USD $280 for editorials with fewer than 5 outfits (if quality justifies an exception), USD $380 if a single brand appears in more than 2 outfits, USD $30 for credit amendment errors, USD $220 cancellation fee after a 48-hour acceptance window, and USD $280 for deletion of published work. The model pushes much of the production discipline onto the photographer.

Selected photographers and stylists receive publication credit and digital tear-sheets for their portfolios. Solstice does not provide complimentary print copies and does not pay photographers for submissions.

Eligibility: models must be 18 or over; pornographic or graphic violent content is not accepted. The first-round deadline is 11:59 PM EDT on May 18, 2026; if space remains, a second round runs through June 18.
