Royal Society Publishing Photography Competition 2026

The Royal Society's publishing arm runs this annual competition celebrating photography by working scientists — treating the research image as visual culture in its own right, across Astronomy, Behaviour, Earth Science and Climatology, Ecology and Environmental Science, and Microimaging. The overall winner receives £1,000; category winners receive £500 plus Royal Photographic Society certificates and one-year memberships. Open to anyone studying or working in science at graduate level or above; up to 20 entries per person. Free to enter.
