ROOTS

Second open call from Fototeka, a Romanian analog photography hub and publisher, for a new collective printed volume following its first book Sequence 01, which brought together 93 photographers. The theme is ROOTS — origin, belonging, memory and connection, read literally or metaphorically: natural elements, portraits, archives, rituals, personal and collective histories. Roots usually remain hidden, yet they shape what becomes visible. Only film-based photography is eligible; digital and AI-generated images are excluded. Up to ten analog photographs per submission, minimum 3000 pixels on the long side. The 50 RON (about €10) fee supports the editorial, design, printing and presentation work and does not guarantee inclusion: the curatorial team sequences the book, so a submission may end up represented by no photographs, one, or several. Selected work may also be featured on Fototeka's online platforms. The album is planned for October–November 2026.
