Premio Mila is the annual prize organized by Fondo Malerba (Malerba Fund), supporting Italian or Italy-based photographers and visual artists under 40. The structural premise is acquisition: the winner's work enters Malerba Fund's permanent collection.

Selection structure: five finalists are exhibited in Milan. From the five, one winner receives a €3,000 acquisition prize.

The 2026 jury draws from Italian curatorial institutions: Andrea Elia Zanini (Curator, Fondo Malerba), Caterina Angelucci (curator and journalist), Matteo Balduzzi (Curator, MUFOCO — the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Cinisello Balsamo), Marta Cereda (Artistic Director, Careof), Bernardo Follini (Curator, Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo), and Francesca Lazzarini (independent curator).

Eligibility is restricted to Italian or Italy-based artists under 40. Submission is by email plus WeTransfer with up to 15 images. Application is free. The 2026 deadline was March 22; results announced late April 2026.
