Photo Laureate 2026

Photo Laureate is the annual program from Saint Petersburg Month of Photography (SPMoP) in Florida. The structural premise: one photographer is selected to document the Tampa Bay region across an entire year — a sustained, place-based commission rather than a single-image prize.

The selected Photo Laureate produces a body of work over the year that culminates in a solo exhibition at the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts (FMoPA) in Tampa.

Eligibility is restricted to US-based photographers. Application is free, submitted through the SPMoP website. The 2026 deadline was March 17; results announced May 2026.
