AFC Nature Photography Contest 2026

Free nature photography contest from Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy, a Pasadena-based land trust protecting Southern California wildlife habitat. Seven categories — Birds, Mammals, Other Wildlife, Plants, Landscapes, People in Nature, and Abstract/Conceptual — plus a public-vote Viewer's Choice Award announced at a September event. Winning images are professionally printed at AFC's expense and displayed at a public awards event (2025 winners were shown at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County). Open to anyone 15 or older; images must have been taken in Southern California within the last 5 years. Up to 2 photos per category; manipulated images only in Abstract/Conceptual; no AI-generated images. Deadline 11:50pm PST.
