MSU Zagreb Artist Residency 2026

The Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb (MSU) runs an annual one-month international artist residency. The 2026 residency is part of the Meeting Point project and L'Internationale's Museum of the Commons programme — both pan-European institutional initiatives focused on the contemporary museum's social role.

The 2026 thematic focus: climate crisis, shared resources, and the museum's relationship to local communities. The residency is process-oriented rather than production-focused — outputs are not required to be finished works.

The residency runs September 20 – October 20, 2026 and includes accommodation, a €1,500 participation fee, up to €500 travel support, curatorial dialogue, and access to local community networks in Zagreb.

Eligibility is open. Submission is through Google Form with a portfolio. Application is free. The 2026 deadline was April 1; results announced April 15, 2026.
