MonoVisions Black & White Photography Awards 2026

MonoVisions Black & White Photography Awards is run by MonoVisions Magazine, an online photography publication operating since 2016 with a focus on black-and-white work. The 2026 cycle is one of multiple international monochrome competitions, distinguished by its deeper category-tiered structure and large jury panel.

Submissions are accepted in two sections — Single photos or Series (maximum 8 photos per series) — across twelve subject categories: Abstract, Architecture, Conceptual, Fine Art, Landscapes, Nature and Wildlife, Nude, People, Photojournalism, Portrait, Street Photography, and Travel.

The cash prize pool is $5,000, distributed across two top awards: Series of the Year ($3,000) and Photo of the Year ($2,000). Category winners and honorable mentions receive downloadable badges and certificates of achievement — recognition rather than additional cash.

The 2026 jury comprises 14 international judges: Cyrille Druart, Vera Saldivar de Lira, Arkadiusz Kubisiak, David Rathbone, Dr Nenad Nikolic, Agata Benhacoun, Michael Koster, Tatiana Kurnosova, Zhou HanShun, Monika K. Adler, Timurtas Onan, Keivan Cadinouche, and Philip Flip Collier — bringing together photographers and artists across multiple geographies.

Entry fees: $30 per series submission, $25 per single photo. Eligibility is open to professionals and amateurs at any skill level worldwide; both traditional and digital black-and-white photography are accepted. The 2026 deadline is May 17; winners announced July 26.
