Linkshouse Residency — Pier Arts Centre Orkney

The Linkshouse Residency is a month-long funded residency at Linkshouse in Birsay, on Orkney's west mainland — a small village by the Atlantic. The residency runs May 1–31, 2026 as a partnership between Visual Arts Scotland (VAS), the Wilhelmina Barns-Graham Trust, and the Pier Arts Centre (the Stromness contemporary art center).

The package includes accommodation at Linkshouse, a £2,200 stipend, and a travel bursary up to £250. On-site artist support is provided during the residency, with the opportunity to develop future exhibitions with VAS.

Eligibility requires VAS membership. Submission is by email with a single PDF containing 6 images. Application is free.

The 2026 deadline was March 15; results announced end of March 2026.
