Les Photographiques 2027 — Open Call

Les Photographiques is an annual photography festival held in Le Mans and partner cities in the Sarthe region of France, organised by the Festival de l'image association. The festival is a member of Réseau LUX — the French photography festival network — and the 2027 edition coincides with the bicentenary of photography's invention.

The 2027 programming runs two strands. A non-thematic strand remains open to all photographic propositions, while a second strand is dedicated to landscape as part of Réseau LUX's 200LUX bicentennial project. Applicants submit to either strand through the same call. The festival proper takes place March 13 to April 11, 2027 across Le Mans and partner towns (dates pending confirmation).

Participation is free for the 2027 edition — the festival removed its previous entry fee. Selected artists receive €500 as exhibition rights compensation and up to €400 in travel reimbursement against receipts. Production costs are not covered. The call is open to artists of any age and nationality, with one series per applicant.

Submission is via email only. Applicants must download the regulations and registration form (combined as a single PDF) from photographiques.org and submit complete, conforming dossiers — non-compliant submissions are not reviewed. The deadline is Friday, July 31, 2026 (inclusive).
