Legacy

Founding exhibition of Ajanaku Gallery — a photo-and-text show exploring Afro-Caribbean heritage, transmission, and memory, built on the idea of 'what our ancestors left us, and what we will leave to the world.' Open internationally to photographers, writers, and poets: works pair images (portraits, symbolic scenes, ritual objects, revisited traditional garments) with integrated texts such as original poems, African and Caribbean proverbs, letter fragments, and meditative writing. Free to enter through the gallery's online form; submit up to two works as high-resolution JPG, PNG, or PDF (max 10MB each, no zip files). Selected artists become part of the gallery's founding narrative, with their work shown in the exhibition and an accompanying publication. The exhibition runs 16–23 December 2026 in Neuilly-Plaisance, France.
