Lacawac Artists' Residency 2026

Week-long residencies at Lacawac Sanctuary, a 550-acre nature preserve and biological field station in Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains, for artists and writers whose work shows the influence of nature or the science behind it. Residents get a private bedroom in the historic Watres Lodge or Ice House, studio space in the Carriage House, and access to 9+ miles of trails and Lake Lacawac. Remaining 2026 sessions run July 5–10 and October 10–15; applications are rolling, recommended at least two weeks before a session. The residency costs $300 for the week, due at registration; participants provide their own meals and transport.
