HOU @ HCP
HCP dedicated its third gallery space in 2024 to photographers from Houston and its metro area, and considers submissions on a rolling basis for one of eight solo exhibition slots a year. The call opens each September and stays open until the end of August; work is reviewed as it arrives and applicants hear by the end of the following month. There are no themes and no limits on the type of work so long as it falls within the discipline of photography, and no experience level is required — Houston-based artists may also apply more than once a year with new work. HCP provides installation, lighting and insurance, and has a limited number of white metal frames, though it does not supply matting. There is no entry fee, but entrants must be HCP members at the time of submission; memberships are non-refundable and the membership number goes on the application. Submit up to 15 edited JPGs at 2000px on the longest side with a bio, statement and CV.
