Hotel Willa Artist-in-Residence 2027

Four-week self-directed residency at Hotel Willa in Taos, New Mexico, activated by The Paseo Project, for the months of February, March, April, July, August, October, November and December 2027. The hotel — a 1940s motel reimagined as an art-forward destination in the historic district, five minutes' walk from Taos Plaza — hosts one artist at a time. Residents get a private one-bedroom suite with kitchenette, a private on-site studio outfitted with work surfaces, easel, sink, desk lamp, rolling cart and cutting mat, a bicycle for the duration, and restaurant discounts and vouchers. There is no stipend: artists cover travel, materials and meals, and a car is recommended. Artists are invited to give an artist talk and open studio on the third Thursday of their stay. Open to artists, makers, writers and creatives in all disciplines who live or work in the Four Corners region or within a 300-mile radius of Taos; Taos County residents are not eligible, and the program cannot accommodate couples or families.
