Hiding in Plain Sight
Hiding in Plain Sight is one of the Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts (RICPA)'s themed juried calls. RICPA is a Providence-based nonprofit photography gallery and educational center.
The brief is interpretive: photographers are asked to explore the unseen and forgotten — work that challenges myths and revalues overlooked subjects. The framing invites attention to what photography typically misses or treats as background.
Selection is by Lou Jones, photographer. Single-juror selection.
Cash prizes are $250 (first), $150 (second), $75 (third). Selected work is shown in a physical exhibition at RICPA.
Eligibility is open globally to photographers 18+. Submission is through CaFÉ with 3–15 images. Fee is $35. The 2026 deadline was April 10.
