Gomma Black and White Photo Award 2026

Gomma Publishing is an independent photobook publisher specializing in black-and-white photography. The Gomma Black and White Photo Award is the publisher's annual project-based competition. The 2026 edition is the award's third cycle.

The brief is process-restricted but genre-open: project-based black-and-white photography of any kind, sourced from any medium (film, digital, hybrid). All genres welcome — documentary, fine art, conceptual. AI-generated work is not accepted.

Each application includes 8–24 black-and-white images forming a coherent project. Single-image submissions are not eligible — the award is structured around bodies of work.

Winners are published in a dedicated Gomma book. Cash prize is €500.

Eligibility is open globally. Submission is through Submittable. Fee is €29. The 2026 deadline was April 30; results announced December 2026.
