Global Ability Photography Challenge 2026

The Global Ability Photography Challenge (GAPC) is an inclusive photography competition exclusively for persons with disabilities. Founded approximately in 2022, the 2026 cycle is the 5th edition. The program is organized by Not Just Art / Youth4Jobs in partnership with Adani Plus and other sponsors, and the organizers describe it as the largest disability-led photography competition globally.

There is no thematic restriction. Submissions span all approaches — documentary, portrait, street, conceptual, abstract, or experimental. The brief encourages, but does not require, work capturing stories of inclusion, dignity, resilience, hope, and the everyday lives of persons with disabilities.

Cash prizes total approximately ₹17,00,000 ($20,000 USD) across ten placements: 1st ₹5,00,000; 2nd ₹3,00,000; 3rd ₹2,00,000; and 4th through 10th at ₹1,00,000 each. The top 20 photographs are exhibited in Ahmedabad, India, with custom trophies designed by Michael Foley. Travel and accommodation are sponsored for selected winners attending the award ceremony.

Eligibility is restricted to persons with disabilities; there is no age restriction. Submission is free. Each photographer submits a maximum of 3 photos in JPEG format, RGB, maximum 2000 pixels on the longest side, minimum 4 MB file size, with no watermarks or identifying marks.

Across its first four editions, GAPC reports reaching 8 million people, 50,000+ lives inspired, and participants from 30+ countries. The 2026 deadline is May 25; results announced before the June 24 award ceremony.
