Film Photo Award 2026

The Film Photo Award is unusual in its prize structure: rather than cash, the award provides three grants of professional film stock and complimentary processing by Praus Productions, the Rochester-based film processing lab.

The grant supports photographers committing to extended film-based projects — the photographer brings the project, the award brings the materials. Selected work is also published on the Film Photo Award platform.

Eligibility is restricted to US-based photographers 18+. Open across career stages: emerging, established, and student photographers all eligible.

Submission is through CaFÉ with 1–15 images. Fee is tiered $25–$35. The 2026 deadline was April 26; results announced late May 2026.
