CPA Artist Grants 2026
The Center for Photographic Art (CPA) is a Carmel-by-the-Sea, California nonprofit photography institution. The CPA Artist Grants are its annual category-restricted grant program. The 2026 cycle awards five separate $5,000 grants in distinct categories: emerging photographer, mid-career photographer, landscape photographer, LGBTQ+ photographer, and Monterey County resident.
The five-category structure means applicants apply to a specific track — selection is within category rather than against the whole field.
Selection is by Diane Chung (Founder, CHUNG 24 GALLERY), Gregory Harris (Curator of Photography, High Museum of Art), and Frank Yamrus (fine art photographer).
Eligibility is open to photographers 18+, with the geographic and identity restrictions applying within specific categories rather than overall. Submission is through the CPA website with 10–20 images. Fee is $30. The 2026 deadline was April 7.
